When taking the Written Test of the DELE C2 exam, you will find different types of texts, such as:
- Newspaper, magazine or blog article.
- Letter of complaint, letter to the director or letter to an official body.
- Report the Dossier.
- Manifesto or speech.
- Brochure.
- Notes of the meeting.
However, it is very important that you know what tasks you can find them in, how each type of text is composed and what its structure is, since there are big differences between each of them.
In this sense, it is common for tasks 1, 2 and 3 to receive an Article from a newspaper, magazine or blog, although you can also find a Letter of Complaint, a letter to the director or a letter of complaint to an official body or to the head of a company, among other examples of this type.
In addition, in the Written Test you are likely to find a report or dossier, something that is usually used mainly for Task 3, where you will receive a graph and you must use the data included in it to make a report, so you need to know what are the characteristics of this type of text and their differences, for example, with a newspaper article.
Also, for the DELE C2 Written Test, you may be asked to write a text in the format of a Manifesto or Speech, which will be composed with the intention that in the future it will be read before a specific audience. In this case, it's important that you know what audience you're targeting to set the tone correctly. It should be noted that texts in the format of a manifesto or speech are usually common in tasks 1 and 2.
Another type of text that is also common to find, especially in Task 1, is the Brochure, like the one that until a while ago was customary to receive on the street. You need to be well aware of how these writings are composed.
In turn, in Task 1 it is common to find a Meeting Minutes, that is, a text that compiles what has been expressed orally during some type of meeting, whether of neighbors, of a community, a school or a company, among other cases.
